Based on entries contained
within bibliographies on the Internet, they
appear to primarily be publishers / printers
of books and monographs, such as “Convicts
& Commandants of Norfolk Island 1788-1855,
Margaret Hazzard, Photopress International,
Norfolk Island, 1978”. They are also a source
on the island for commercial offset printing.
Initially, Photopress produced
booklet stamps, but a new philatelic policy
from the Norfolk Island Post Office means
that they try to give business to local
companies wherever possible. Consequently,
conventional sheet printed stamps are now
produced on the island wherever possible.
