Dr. Steve K. Amoa-Marfo started his working life at the age of twenty- Three (23) when he established Dentwiman Press in 1981. In 1986 he incorporated Al Helou and Marfo Co Ltd with a Saudi partner. The name of the Company was changed to IKAM Limited when the Saudi partner withdrew. IKAM Limited under his Executive Chairmanship grew to achieve an initial turnover of ¢35 million in 1987; ¢15 billion in 1997 and ¢25 billion in 1999. The growth of the company under his sole management has been monumental. IKAM Limited is now the Market leader in Security Printing in Ghana.

In 1998, IKAM Limited was recorded as being a commercial printer based in Accra. By mid-2000, a company specialising in security printing appears to have been formed as a separate company, presumably in the same group of companies.
